Monday Night Football
Las Vegas @ L.A. Chargers
Team Totals: Chargers 27.5, Raiders 24
Sporting Week 4’s fourth-highest total, Raiders-Chargers is a possible shootout featuring Las Vegas’ upstart offense quarterbacked by Derek Carr, who banked Weeks 1-3 fantasy finishes of QB7, QB8, and QB10. Brandon Staley’s Bolts defense held Dak Prescott to Week 2’s QB29 fantasy score and Patrick Mahomes to 5.9 yards per pass attempt in Week 3, all told limiting enemy quarterbacks to the NFL’s fifth-fewest fantasy points. Carr has played at a legitimately MVP level to this point but is a fringe QB1 play on Monday night. … On Thursday, Jon Gruden characterized Josh Jacobs (ankle, toe) as “very questionable” after Jacobs missed Weeks 2 and 3. With Staley intent on halting passing offenses but playing forgiving defense versus the run, enemy RBs creamed the Chargers for a combined yards-per-carry average of 5.46 in Weeks 1-3.
