Their bye coming in Week 10 and adverse conditions forecasted at Lambeau, the Rams are expected to hold out Matthew Stafford (thumb) and start Brett Rypien. A soft-tossing career backup in the Colt McCoy mold, Rypien has made three NFL starts, all told compiling a career 4:8 TD-to-INT ratio while averaging an anemic 5.9 yards per attempt and fumbling four times. Green Bay’s D/ST isn’t any good, but it’s entirely streamable here. The Rams also look unlikely to have RT Rob Havenstein (calf) after he didn’t practice all week. Newly extended Packers EDGE Rashan Gary should eat. … Darrell Henderson and Royce Freeman formed a near-even Week 8 committee at Dallas with Freeman holding the slight edge in snaps (33 to 29) and Henderson in touches (15 to 9). I’m leaning toward Henderson as the better RB2/flex option as the superior talent Rams coaches feel more comfortable feeding the ball. The Packers have been pillaged for the NFL’s ninth-most fantasy points by running backs. … We have no meaningful data from which to work when it comes to Rypien and Rams pass catchers. We do know Cooper Kupp, Puka Nacua, and Tutu Atwell will continue to dominate snaps as part of the strictest three-wide offense in the NFL. It’s mildly notable that Tyler Higbee’s matchup is enhanced by the questionable status of Packers FS Rudy Ford (calf) and ILB Quay Walker (groin), who both apparently got injured in practice.

A decimated offensive line and the unreliable health of core skill players have contributed to his failings, but Jordan Love on an individual basis has continued to look like a non-solution.
