Minnesota @ Buffalo
Progressing but still finding his way in rookie HC Kevin O’Connell’s offense, Kirk Cousins enters Week 10 ranked 11th among quarterbacks in fantasy scoring set to face a Bills defense missing EDGE Gregory Rousseau (ankle), SS Micah Hyde (neck), and FS Jordan Poyer (elbow), plus potentially CB Kaiir Elam (ankle) and MLB Tremaine Edmunds (groin/heel). I’m still approaching Cousins’ box-score projection cautiously since Sean McDermott’s defense has stayed stout amid attrition, and Sunday’s game environment is less attractive sans Josh Allen (elbow). Cousins is a quality QB2 play. … Averaging 20.0 touches over his last five games, Dalvin Cook encounters a Bills defense holding enemy RBs to 4.1 yards per carry and the NFL’s 10th-fewest fantasy points. Yet Rousseau and Edmunds’ absences would be felt on the ground, while no Allen works in Cook’s favor by reducing the chances of a blowout Bills victory and increasing the odds this game stays close. I also came away from Week 9 encouraged by Cook’s pass-game participation; he out-targeted Alexander Mattison 6 to 1 and ran 29 routes to Mattison’s 6.
