Minnesota @ Denver
Team Totals: Broncos 22.5, Vikings 20.5
Winners of five straight, the red-hot Vikings visit Mile High to face a similarly surging Broncos team that is on a short week following last Monday’s dramatic win at Buffalo. … Through two appearances in HC Kevin O’Connell’s hyper QB-friendly offense, Josh Dobbs is 43-of-64 passing (67%) for 426 yards (6.7 YPA) and a 3:0 TD-to-INT ratio, adding 15/110/2 as a rusher. Having banked QB5 (@ ATL) and QB3 (vs. NO) fantasy weeks, Dobbs now draws a Broncos defense yielding the NFL’s sixth-most QB points. I’m treating Dobbs as a fringe QB1/2 play here. … With Cam Akers (Achilles) done for the season, Alexander Mattison and Ty Chandler split Minnesota’s backfield chances during the first three quarters of Week 10’s win over the Saints. Mattison suffered a second-half concussion but based on practice participation now seems likely to play Sunday night. Trampled for a combined rushing line of 21/177/1 (8.4 YPC) by James Cook and Latavius Murray in Week 10, Denver is extremely vulnerable to the run. Assuming Mattison plays, I’ll be valuing him as an RB2/flex and Chandler as a potentially explosive flex option.
Dobbs’ Weeks 9-10 target distribution: T.J. Hockenson 27; Jordan Addison 14; Brandon Powell 8; Mattison 4; Trishton Jackson and Johnny Mundt 3; K.J. Osborn and Josh Oliver 2; Jalen Nailor 1. … Justin Jefferson (hamstring, I.R.) sounds another week away from return.
