The Vikings’ Week 13 running game shouldn’t miss a beat without Dalvin Cook (shoulders) since Detroit is a walkover opponent and Minnesota No. 2 RB Alexander Mattison is plenty capable of imposing his ground-game will on a Lions defense permitting the league’s third-most fantasy points to running backs. In his four career NFL games of 20-plus touches, Mattison has banked total yardage/touchdown counts of 136/0, 145/2, 171/0, and 153/1. Reports point to Cook missing multiple games. … Kirk Cousins enters Week 13 as fantasy’s overall QB9 in a near-optimal environment beneath Ford Field’s dome to face a Lions defense that gave Andy Dalton all day to throw on Thanksgiving and on the season ranks second to last in the league in sacks (16) and dead last in QB hits (34). While it’s fair to question Cousins’ volume projection against a non-competitive Detroit team, this should be one of his most efficient 2021 starts.
