Week 12’s setup looks ugly for the Vikings at chilly Lambeau Field with their quarterback struggling badly enough to generate Tim Tebow comparisons now facing one of the best defenses in the league on the road. Packers DC Jeff Hafley’s unit has allowed 20 points or fewer in seven of 10 games, while J.J. McCarthy has thrown for fewer than 160 yards in four of his five starts. McCarthy is floundering despite one of the best supporting casts in football and Kevin O’Connell’s tried-and-true offensive scheme. … This is a #RevengeGame for Aaron Jones against his former team. Last week, Jones promisingly out-snapped Jordan Mason 37 to 9 and out-touched him 19 to 6. Especially if the Vikings fall behind — they’re 6.5-point road dogs here — I think Jones could deliver an especially productive receiving game. The Packers have permitted the NFL’s eighth-most receptions (51) to running backs, while high-percentage throws to Jones would be a way to build McCarthy’s confidence.
