Week 2 Recap
The model had a solid first week of the season, particularly given the limited data with which it had to work. When at full strength in terms of predictiveness, the model uses the previous three weeks of player performance to make its projections. Still, it identified five receivers who posted 20+ PPR points, including Mike Gesicki who was just 1.2% owned in the Milly Maker. Other hits included Darren Waller, Julian Edelman and D.J. Moore. And while Diontae Johnson was high-owned in most tournaments (around 10%), it’s good to know the model was on him as well. Misses included Quintez Cephus, Allen Robinson, A.J. Green, and my least favorite player in the NFL, Mike Williams.
Here’s the full list of last week’s Buy Lows, with players who beat their expected PPR production highlighted in green.
