Just as we’re publishing here, we got a big update on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who is now available to play against the Grizzlies in the second half of a back-to-back set.
This matchup is ridiculously good for SGA, and overall there hasn’t been much concern about the injury with the team being careful. He played 42 minutes in the last game and 34 in his return to the lineup, so upper 30s are in play here. Of course, this pretty much takes out most of the other guards.
Al Horford also got ruled out, as expected. Isaiah Roby would likely get the start, which makes him a solid play. On the flip side of that, Jonas Valanciunas could really be eating today after the Pelicans shut him down.
