Josh Allen (+300 to +340 Caesars) is the standalone favorite in the MVP race after Sunday Night’s epic clash with Lamar Jackson (+550 BetMGM). Normally I don’t spend much time talking about +300ish awards options in September, but Allen’s upcoming schedule is: at NYJ, vs. MIA (TNF), vs. NO, vs. NE (SNF), at ATL (MNF), Bye, at CAR. This gives Buffalo a real shot at a 7-0 record heading into their Week 9 tilt with the Chiefs. Furthermore, Allen gets prime-time showcase games against the Dolphins’ horrific defense, the Patriots’ below-average roster, and a very beatable Falcons team during this stretch. Barring injury, Allen is in the driver’s seat to be a decisive MVP favorite at the halfway point of the season.
