When making bets in NFL awards markets, we’re looking for options that we can get at a value, that have a realistic path to winning. With preseason games already underway, we’re going to take a look at several value options in various awards markets. We’ll do that again one more time before the season starts, and then every other week during the season.
For our value options series, we’ll be focusing our attention on several national sportsbooks, namely BetMGM, Caesars, DraftKings, FanDuel, and PointsBet.

Value Options
MVP
Jalen Hurts (+900 to +1200 FanDuel)
We already saw last season that Hurts is an MVP-caliber producer, as he was a late leader in the race until he missed two games with a throwing shoulder injury. This year, the Eagles have a tougher schedule and therefore a more difficult path to the top seed in the conference. That said, the Eagles first five games are their softest schedule stretch of the season (at NE, vs MIN (TNF), at TB (MNF), vs Wash, at LAR). A 5-0 start is very much on the table for Philadelphia, which could result in Hurts being on top of the MVP race in early October. If you’re going to bet on Hurts in the MVP race, consider doing it now.
Derek Carr (+3500 to +5000 DraftKings)
Carr, Kirk Cousins and Daniel Jones are the MVP three longshots with 50-1 type odds with some path to contention in the NFL MVP race. We aren’t confident that Carr can produce at an MVP-caliber level, but the Saints league-easiest schedule gives him a
