Vikings-Eagles offers shootout potential as the third-highest-totaled game on Week 2’s slate featuring a Minnesota team that banked Week 1’s 11th-highest pass rate above expectation and a Philadelphia club that poured 38 points on the Lions. The Eagles lost DE Derek Barnett (ACL) for the season while managing six hits and just one sack of Jared Goff on 38 dropbacks on Opening Day, while the Vikings’ offensive line kept Kirk Cousins mostly clean (one sack/33 dropbacks) against Green Bay’s imposing defensive front. As usual, Cousins profiles as a somewhat safe-floor but questionable-ceiling QB1/2. … Dalvin Cook failed to hit Week 1 paydirt but maintained bellcow usage versus the Packers, handling 23 touches and playing 77% of the Vikings’ offensive snaps. Handcuff Alexander Mattison was Minnesota’s only other back to see the field on Opening Day. After Philadelphia got cooked by Lions running backs for 205 total yards and three touchdowns last week, I’d be excited to tee up Cook as a high-end RB1.
