Detroit @ Dallas
Team Totals: Cowboys 28, Lions 21
The Lions return from their Week 6 bye still nursing injuries at several critical skill positions and facing a brutal matchup at Dallas, whose defense has yielded the NFL’s third-fewest points per game (16.3), racked up a league-high 24 sacks, allowed the third-fewest yards per pass attempt (5.2), and given up just six passing TDs in six games. I’m downgrading Jared Goff to a two-QB-league play only. … Sidelined since Week 3, D’Andre Swift (shoulder/ankle) still isn’t 100% but sounds likelier than not to play after a limited practice week. In a tough draw, I’m approaching Swift as an RB2/flex starter at Dallas but still aggressively buying low on him with Swift’s bye out of the way and his ceiling sky high as a dynamic all-purpose playmaker in a quality offense. … Assuming Swift is indeed active, Jamaal Williams will profile as a touchdown-or-bust flex play. Should Swift sit one more week, Williams will resume RB2 valuation.
