With Anthony Richardson (shoulder) out 1-2 months, the Colts are turning to Gardner Minshew after the ex-Jaguar went 57 of 83 passing (68.7%) for 553 yards (6.7 YPA) and a 2:0 TD-to-INT ratio off the bench in Weeks 1-5. Jacksonville has yielded the NFL’s sixth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks and the league’s seventh-most yards per pass attempt (7.2), and ranks bottom six in sacks (9). Supremely stout against the run, the Jags’ defense has pass-funnel characteristics. I’m confidently starting Minshew in two-QB/Superflex leagues. … Sporting the “hot hand” and simply refusing to go away, Zack Moss out-snapped Jonathan Taylor 53 to 10 in Taylor’s Week 5 season debut. Over his last seven games as a Colt, Moss’ rushing line is 134/698/4 (5.2 YPC) with 12 catches and a receiving score. Indianapolis’ feature back job will eventually be Taylor’s — owner Jim Irsay just signed off on his three-year, $42 million deal — but Moss’ play may render it a slow drip. Jacksonville’s stout defensive front is another near-term concern; the Jags have held enemy backs to 3.6 yards per carry and one all-purpose TD in five games.

Minshew’s 2023 target distribution: Michael Pittman 24; Josh Downs 20; Alec Pierce 10; Kylen Granson 8; Moss 7; Drew Ogletree 3. … Pittman has caught 18 of Minshew’s 24 targets intended for him (75%), suggesting the two have chemistry. Jacksonville has conceded the NFL’s ninth-most yards (902) and third-most touchdowns (6) to wide receivers.
