N.Y. Jets @ N.Y. Giants
Team Totals: Jets 19.5, Giants 16.5
Jets-Giants is Week 8’s second-lowest-totaled game, rendering it a contest to avoid where necessary in fantasy lineup decisions, especially in a week with zero teams on bye. … Zach Wilson arguably played the best ball of his career in Gang Green’s three games before their Week 7 bye. Yet he was fantasy’s overall QB21 during that span (Weeks 4-6). … The Jets’ O-Line is an ongoing worry, especially with T/G Alijah Vera-Tucker (Achilles) done for the year, LT Duane Brown (hip, I.R.) not yet ready, and RG Joe Tippmann (quad) likely out this week. Already blitzing at the NFL’s third-highest rate (41%), expect Giants DC Wink Martindale to throw the kitchen sink at Wilson. The Giants’ D/ST is a legitimate streamer. … I’m taking overs on Garrett Wilson props as Zach’s go-to guy in pressured situations. Garrett is one of my favorite DFS tournament plays this week. … The Jets appear poised to unleash Breece Hall; before their Week 7 bye, Hall set a season high in playing time in Week 6 (66%), and across Weeks 5-6 turned 42 touches into 287 yards and two TDs. The Giants have surrendered the league’s fifth-most fantasy running back points.
After facing Buffalo’s depleted defense, then Washington, Tyrod Taylor draws his stiffest test to date against a Jets defense holding opponents to the NFL’s ninth-fewest yards per pass attempt (6.1) and just eight TD passes in six games.
