San Francisco @ New Orleans

Team Totals: 49ers 21.5, Saints 18.5

49ers-Saints carries Week 2’s second-lowest total, rendering it a largely stay-away fantasy game. … Starting in place of Brock Purdy (shoulder, toe), Mac Jones has long been a Kyle Shanahan system fit but offers zero with his legs and has an 18:20 TD-to-INT ratio over the last two seasons. Jones has gone 17 straight starts without throwing for 300 yards. … The 49ers showed no apprehension regarding Christian McCaffrey’s Week 1 usage; he tallied 31 touches on a 76% snap rate at Seattle. Brian Robinson Jr. touched the ball 10 times on 18 snaps. I remain somewhat skeptical CMC will hold up over a full season, but he warrants elite RB1 treatment for the foreseeable future. In Week 1, New Orleans’ defense got tagged for a combined 20/108/0 (5.4 YPC) rushing line by Arizona RBs. … Some have talked up FB Kyle Juszczyk as a potential solution for San Francisco’s skill-player attrition. 34-year-old Juszczyk has gone 90 straight regular-season games without clearing 50 receiving yards.
