My box-score expectations for 49ers-Seahawks are dulled by this game’s venue and Seattle’s arguably league-best defensive personnel. Second-year HC Mike Macdonald’s defense has difference-makers at all three levels after allowing the NFL’s eighth-fewest yards per pass attempt (6.9) and ninth-fewest fantasy QB points in 2024. Brock Purdy is a weak start here. … Christian McCaffrey missed all but four games with calf and Achilles injuries last year, but August reports on his health were overwhelmingly positive, and CMC is a generational box-score producer at 100%. I think Brian Robinson Jr. was acquired as a hedge on injury-riddled Isaac Guerendo. McCaffrey can be Week 1’s overall fantasy RB1.
