Cincinnati @ Baltimore
Team Totals: Ravens 32.25, Bengals 18.75
Finally with a 2020 breakthrough under his belt, Joe Mixon visits Baltimore with touch counts of 20, 20, 19, and 31 in Weeks 1-4 and 13 combined targets over Cincinnati’s last three games, all top-ten RB1-caliber usage marks despite Mixon’s slow pre-Jaguars start. Perhaps most promisingly, Mixon ran 25 pass routes compared to Giovani Bernard’s 5 in last week’s victory. The good Week 5 news for Mixon is the Ravens are only playing above-average run defense – holding enemy backs to 78/309/1 (3.96 YPC) rushing – and have yielded the NFL’s sixth most receiving yards to Mixon’s position (229). With Cincy installed as a nearly two-TD road dog, however, Mixon is at risk of encountering negative script against a Ravens team that could easily dominate time of possession. He’s back to being a boom-bust RB1 play here.
