Thursday Night Football
Denver @ Kansas City
Team Totals: Chiefs 30, Broncos 19
On a one-for-one basis, I prefer streaming Kansas City’s D/ST over firing up Russell Wilson at Arrowhead; the Chiefs have so far bottled up Jared Goff (QB18), Trevor Lawrence (QB31), Justin Fields (QB24), Zach Wilson (QB12), and Kirk Cousins (QB10). K.C. has yielded the NFL’s fifth-fewest yards per pass attempt (5.5) and ninth-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks. Wilson is best approached as a two-QB-league and single-game DFS play. … In Javonte Williams’ (quad) Week 5 absence, Jaleel McLaughlin out-touched Samaje Perine 12 to 10, even while Perine out-snapped Denver’s impressive undrafted rookie 38 to 21 against the Jets. Williams seems likelier than not to return on Thursday night, restoring this backfield to a fantasy-unfriendly three-man weave. The Chiefs have yielded the NFL’s eighth-fewest fantasy RB points.
Wilson’s 2023 target distribution: Courtland Sutton 31; Jerry Jeudy 24; Perine 18; Williams 15; Adam Trautman 14; Marvin Mims 12; Brandon Johnson 11; McLaughlin 8; Lil’Jordan Humphrey 5. … On top of targets, Sutton leads the Broncos in Air Yards share (29.7%) and red-zone targets (6). Sutton cleared 65 yards and/or hit paydirt in four of Denver’s first five games.
