Denver @ Indianapolis
Team Totals: Broncos 22, Colts 20.5
PFF’s lowest-graded passer in Week 1, Bo Nix was a scattershot disaster against the Titans, committing three turnovers and averaging an anemic 4.4 yards per pass attempt. The Colts’ defense played formidably in DC Lou Anarumo’s debut, shutting out the Dolphins until late fourth-quarter garbage time. I’m valuing Nix on the QB1/2 fringe. … J.K. Dobbins operated as Denver’s Opening Day lead back, out-touching RJ Harvey 18 to 7 and out-snapping the rookie 40 to 22 against the Titans. Tyler Badie (two, 18%) was annoyingly involved as a No. 3 RB. Harvey’s big-play explosiveness popped on an elusive 50-yard fourth-quarter run, only for Dobbins to hit paydirt from 19 yards out plays later. Dobbins’ veteran reliability and pass-protection superiority give him tangible advantages over Harvey. Dobbins is a legitimate RB2 starter at Indianapolis. Harvey is a low-floor flex option who needs Badie to go away.
