Current Saints HC Dennis Allen — a longtime Payton assistant — coordinated Denver’s defense in 2011. … Bo Nix arrives in The Big Easy having banked Weeks 1-6 fantasy finishes of QB16 (@ SEA), QB27 (vs. PIT), QB14 (@ TB), QB31 (@ NYJ), QB8 (vs. LVR), and QB10 (vs. LAC). Nix’s fantasy calling card is his rushing ability, ranking seventh among quarterbacks in rushing yards (180) and fourth in rushing TDs (3). Even with starting C Luke Wattenberg (ankle) and RT Mike McGlinchey (knee) on I.R., Nix belongs in two-QB-league fantasy lineups. … Still missing WLB Pete Werner (hamstring), the Saints have been clocked by enemy running backs for a whopping 5.4 yards per carry and 153.8 total yards per game. Albeit largely inefficiently, Javonte Williams paced Denver’s Week 6 backfield in touches (9) and snaps (38) over Jaleel McLaughlin (5, 14) and Audric Estime (2, 2). I’m approaching Williams as a risky yet viable RB2/flex option here. McLaughlin is playable on single-game DFS slates.
