Thursday Night Football

Tampa Bay @ Chicago
Team Totals: Bucs 25, Bears 19.5

A top-ten fantasy quarterback in three of his first four starts, Tom Brady’s hot beginning to his Bucs career is likely to pause Thursday night at Soldier Field with an increasingly banged-up supporting cast. Chris Godwin (hamstring) isn’t ready to return, and O.J. Howard tore his Achilles’ in last week’s win, while remaining top-three WRs Mike Evans (ankle), Scotty Miller (hip/groin), and Justin Watson (chest) each missed practice time on a short week. All four quarterbacks to face the Bears (Matt Ryan, Philip Rivers, Daniel Jones, Matthew Stafford) have finished QB21 or worse, and no defense has allowed fewer touchdown passes (3). … With LeSean McCoy (ankle) sidelined and Leonard Fournette (ankle) on the doubtful side of questionable, expect the Bucs to lean on Ronald Jones with rookie Ke’Shawn Vaughn changing the pace and mixing in on some passing downs. Tampa Bay sets up for run-friendly script as a road favorite here, while Chicago has played below-average run defense, letting up a 96/408/4 (4.25 YPC) rushing line to enemy backs.
