Washington @ Minnesota
Team Totals: Commanders 22.5, Vikings 21
Sidelined since Week 9 with a dislocated left (non-throwing) elbow, Jayden Daniels returns to face a Minnesota defense that has permitted the NFL’s fourth-fewest fantasy QB points while leading the league in blitz rate (44%) and ranking third in pressure rate (28.4%). As the 3-9 Commanders’ season is over, it’s fair to wonder how often they’ll put Daniels in harm’s way as a runner. As a passer, I’m betting Daniels will struggle versus Vikes DC Brian Flores’ exotic scheme. … As Washington played from behind in Week 13’s loss to Denver, passing-down specialist Jeremy McNichols led the running back corps in playing time (49%). Chris Rodriguez Jr. paced the unit in touches (11), while Jacory Croskey-Merritt continued to hold down third string. Rodriguez is the Commanders’ lone mildly fantasy-playable backfield member, and his box-score appeal is almost entirely tied to the hope of a goal-line score.
