Yet All-World RT Lane Johnson (Lisfranc) went on I.R. this week, while Dallas traded for stud DT Quinnen Williams and three-down MLB Logan Wilson at the deadline. The smart money still favors a lucrative Hurts box score, but it’s not guaranteed. The Eagles’ own defensive dominance could work against this game’s shootout potential. … Saquon Barkley’s inefficiency — he’s averaging a full two yards per carry less than last season (from 5.8 to 3.8) — surely won’t be helped by Johnson’s loss. The good news is the Eagles have a capable fill-in right tackle in Fred Johnson, and Saquon is averaging 26 touches in two games since Week 9’s bye. Barkley is a volume-secure RB1.
