Jacksonville @ Tampa Bay
Team Totals: Bucs 21.5, Jaguars 20.5
Trevor Lawrence is a Week 16 conundrum coming off last week’s concussion but categorized as likelier than not to play by HC Doug Pederson. Missing Christian Kirk (core surgery, I.R.), LT Cam Robinson (knee, I.R.), and probably Zay Jones (knee/hamstring, questionable), Lawrence’s matchup nevertheless pops out against a pass-funnel Bucs defense coughing up the league’s third-most yards per pass attempt (7.7) and fifth-most fantasy quarterback points. If cleared, I’m viewing Lawrence as a low-end QB1 with upside. … Perhaps hitting a wall after handling monster early- and midseason workloads, Travis Etienne has eked out 55/167/2 (3.0 YPC) rushing over his last four games but compensated with two end-zone trips and four receptions in each. Etienne is a workload-secure mid-range to low-end RB1 play even in Sunday’s difficult draw against a Tampa defense yielding the eighth-fewest fantasy running back points.
Assuming Zay Jones sits, Jacksonville’s Week 16 three-receiver set figures to feature Tim Jones opposite Calvin Ridley with Parker Washington in the slot and Jamal Agnew rotating in as a gadget player. Tim was Zay’s one-for-one replacement against the Ravens last week.
