As Jets-Bills drew Week 1’s lowest total (39.5) and Buffalo has ranked top six in Football Outsiders’ pass-defense DVOA in consecutive years, Gang Green’s passing game should be avoided with few exceptions. Sam Darnold has never cleared 200 passing yards in three career meetings with Sean McDermott’s Bills, while both Jets perimeter wideouts missed most of camp due to injury. Expect Darnold to resort to dinks and dunks, and fire up Buffalo’s D/ST confidently. … Even if Adam Gase’s public in-camp clashes with Le’Veon Bell were New York-media magnified, there remains ample reason to expect Bell’s workload to decrease after he averaged 20.7 touches per game last year.
