Tennessee @ Denver
Team Totals: Broncos 25.5, Titans 17
I have sincere excitement for Tennessee’s offense in HC Brian Callahan’s second year with No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward at the controls, but they couldn’t have dreamed up a worse place to start. The Broncos hold a notoriously lopsided home-field advantage — especially early in the season — while this year’s Denver defense could easily be the best in the league. I will consider it an accomplishment if Tennessee reaches its 17-point team total. I’m confidently teeing up the Broncos’ D/ST while benching Tony Pollard, Calvin Ridley, and Chig Okonkwo. I’m also adding fourth-round rookie WR Elic Ayomanor in deep leagues after he popped up as a starter on the Titans’ Week 1 depth chart, ahead of Van Jefferson. A route-running savant, Ayomanor drew comparisons to in-prime Robert Woods coming out of Stanford. We can revisit starting Titans skill players in Weeks 2 (Rams) and 3 (Colts).
