Minnesota @ Houston
Team Totals: Texans 29, Vikings 25.5
Finally showing signs of life in last week’s 31-30 loss to Tennessee, the winless Vikings banked season highs in offensive plays (62) and yards per play (7.5) keyed by Dalvin Cook’s career-high 181 rushing yards and Kirk Cousins’ 9.3 yards per pass attempt, his second-highest mark over Cousins’ last 12 starts. Minnesota’s success should continue at Houston, which got clocked for a combined 86/502/3 (5.84 YPC) rushing line by Chiefs, Ravens, and Steelers running backs in Weeks 1-3. I like the Vikings’ chances of covering Sunday’s 3.5-point spread on the back of Cook, who has four all-purpose TDs through three games and drew a season-high five targets against the Titans. … In Weeks 1-3, Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, and Ben Roethlisberger combined to go 65-of-92 passing (70.1%) for 652 yards and a 6:1 TD-to-INT ratio against the Texans.
