Just as our Adam Levitan does each week during the NFL season, every Monday we’ll be using the week-long nature of DFS golf to take advantage of the extended feedback loop by analyzing what went right and what went wrong in the previous week’s slate, regardless of results.
Each week, we’ll review a variety of cash-game & GPP lineups in an effort to take you inside our thought process as we approached Thursday’s lock and how our projection- and ownership-based expectations stacked up against the field.
DraftKings Small-Field GPP Lineup Review
It was a banner week in the PGA DFS streets for ETR subscribers and contributors alike, as Jeremy King took eighth and 11th place in the $20 buy-in flagship GPP on DraftKings, while Skylar Hoke took second in the $200 buy-in Driver and third in the flagship. Golf Discord lurker — and CFB expert — Alex Hardin left no prisoners on FanDuel, where he took first, third, seventh, 10th, 14th, and 15th. It was great to see many others littering the top of leaderboards on both sites, and while I personally wasn’t able to join in on the fun, these are the weeks we live for where a sound projection system lays the framework for a sound process that can be capitalized on with a little nudge from contributions like Sky’s Value Report and Jeremy’s Large-Field GPP Breakdown article. Let’s take a look back at my lineup and determine how I managed to — unsuccessfully — marry those two idea:
