New Orleans Pelicans (front end) at Indiana Pacers
Team Totals: Pelicans 113.3, Pacers 114.8
Injury Report: Naji Marshall (Q, ankle)
Pelicans projected starters: Lonzo Ball, Eric Bledsoe, Brandon Ingram, Zion Williamson, Steven Adams
Pacers projected starters: Malcolm Brogdon, Justin Holiday, Jeremy Lamb, Domantas Sabonis, Myles Turner
Van Gundy quotes: Said Wednesday against the Suns was without a doubt the best game of the year, said two games in a row the defensive effort has been better, said Zion’s Wednesday was “by far” his best defensive game.
Bjorkgren quotes: Said he didn’t think his team was too tired in the SEGABABA, said too many at-rim shots were costly against the Bucks, said he expects better defensive spacing.
Stats and Notes:
*Despite the size for the Pacers, this is still a pretty good spot for Zion Williamson. The Pacers continue to lead the league in at-rim shots allowed per game at a whopping 32.2, and that number is rising at 34.6 in the last seven games. Zion’s non-scoring stats have started to show up, too, and SVG’s comments on Zion are encouraging. He’s hardly a must-play given his lack of serious upside, but I like him today.
