Passing Game Outlook
Sam Darnold joined Seattle on a three-year, $100.5 million deal ($55 million guaranteed) in free agency, reuniting with first-year OC Klint Kubiak, with whom Darnold spent the 2023 season in San Francisco. Darnold was fantasy’s QB9 for the 2024 Vikings but benefited from NFL Coach of the Year Kevin O’Connell’s exceptionally quarterback-friendly scheme, plus Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison. In Seattle, Darnold’s supporting cast is far less impressive, lowlighted by an offensive line Brandon Thorn ranks bottom four in the league. The Seahawks also have major question marks at Nos. 2 and 3 receiver and tight end. I’ve only considered drafting Darnold in best-ball and two-quarterback/Superflex leagues.
