Ty Simpson is our QB2 for rookie drafts and checks in as the QB25 in our overall dynasty ranks. There have been flashes of quality talent, but we simply have not seen a lot of him as a starter. Even in his lone season starting for the Crimson Tide, his sample can be split into smaller pieces due to injury issues. The scouts indicate that Simpson may require more development at the pro level before being able to start. This aligns with what we have seen from other inexperienced starters. Simpson has a red-flag profile.
Simpson is probably not worth drafting in 1-QB leagues. However, 2-QB or Superflex formats make it far more difficult to acquire QB talent. Depending on the final draft capital landing spot, Simpson is someone you absolutely have to consider.
