Seattle @ Tennessee
Team Totals: Seahawks 22, Titans 20
Even after Drew Lock performed admirably in Weeks 14-15 starts, the Seahawks are turning back to Geno Smith against a Titans defense yielding the NFL’s sixth-highest completion rate (67.2%) and eighth-most yards per pass attempt (7.5). In what projects as one of the slowest-paced games of the week, I still don’t fully trust Geno coming off injury as more than a fringe QB1/2 play. … I do trust Kenneth Walker, who was the best offensive skill-position player in Week 15’s upset of Philadelphia. Out-snapping Zach Charbonnet 34 to 27 and out-touching him 22 to 4, Walker ran with high-intensity ferocity and burst en route to 112 total yards and a score. Tennessee’s run defense has fallen apart, having been carved by Devin Singletary (170 total yards) and Raheem Mostert and De’Von Achane (171 yards, 2 TDs) in their last two games. Charbonnet is a quality back, but Walker brings a different pace to Seattle’s backfield.
Geno’s 2023 target distribution: DK Metcalf 87; Tyler Lockett 85; Jaxon Smith-Njigba 63; Charbonnet 29; Noah Fant 26; Walker 23; Colby Parkinson 20; Jake Bobo 18.
