Our Adam Levitan devised a tried and true method for reviewing his NFL DFS cash lineups every week. And if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. My goal here is simply to apply Adam’s structure to PGA DFS cash lineups.
To steal directly from Adam, I play around 50-75% of my action each week in “cash games.” Cash games refer to any contest in which roughly 50% of the field gets paid out, such as head-to-heads, double-ups, or 50/50s.
Each week, I’ll review my cash-game lineup in this space. Sometimes I’ll lose, but hopefully I’ll win more often. Either way, I’ll post it here and give you my thought process. For more on PGA cash-game strategy, see my How to Beat PGA DFS Cash Games article.
The Wyndham Championship is the final PGA Tour regular-season event of the season, and this will be my final Cash Lineup Review of the 2025 season as well. Thank you to everyone who has followed along this season, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any feedback or suggestions for the future.
The Wyndham is one of my favorite events for cash because its host venue, Sedgefield Country Club, is a shorter course that rewards accuracy off the tee and consistency above all else. This benefits the profile of golfers that I always want to prioritize in cash, so I feel that my mindset in PGA cash is a perfect fit for Sedgefield. Besides emphasizing accuracy, we’ve seen that Sedgefield can have stickier course history from year to year than most other courses on Tour. This can likely be explained by the short, positional nature of Sedgefield, as well as the tricky, undulating greens that can give players fits. As a result, I wanted to factor in course history slightly more than I normally would when reviewing my pool of golfers.
MY MUST PLAYS
- Aaron Rai ($9,300) is one of the most accurate players on Tour and was projected as the best play on the slate for nearly every projection provider this week — not only as the best value, but also as the golfer projected for the most raw fantasy points. On top of that, he won this event last season and was clearly a perfect course fit. I was a little worried about his back-to-back missed cuts a couple of months ago at the Memorial and Charles Schwab tournaments, but he had since turned his game around and got back to his normal results. Rai deserved to be priced in the $10K range this week, and I wasn’t going to pass on him in this spot.
