NBA is in full swing, don’t miss out!

I play around 60% of my action each week in “cash games.” Cash games refer to any contest in which roughly 50% of the field gets paid out, such as head-to-head, double up or 50/50. I try to get as much head-to-head action as I can every week and then supplement that with other cash games.

Each week, I’ll review my cash-game lineup in this space. Sometimes I’ll lose, but hopefully I’ll win more often. Either way, I’ll post it here and give you my thought process.

Abbreviated recap today on account of the holiday. Happy New Year to all! Here’s to a great 2024.

Week 17 Results
Honestly not sure why I played on DraftKings this week. One thing I’ve learned this season is that the setup on Fanduel is simply better right now. The pricing spread is wider, opponents can make more mistakes.

For example, Christian McCaffrey was a whopping 11,000 on FanDuel. He wasn’t a strong cash play at that price (we had him 5th in Top Plays) but tons of people played him and put incredible pressure on rest of their lineup.

Also, not playing Jalen Hurts or Lamar Jackson on Fanduel was suicidal. But on DraftKings, punting quarterback was firmly in play because there was simply nowhere to save – roughly every WR was overpriced. On FanDuel, Zay Flowers was a cheap lock. There were no cheap locks on DraftKings.

Anyway, I thought my structure on DraftKings was roughly. I had Tyrod Taylor in all week, pivoted to Jarrett Stidham for matchup late. I played Trey McBride over Zeke Elliott which I was happy about even though Zeke eeked that one out. With Jaylen Waddle, Raheem Mostert, and Kyle Hamilton out and so many WRs overpriced, I thought playing Tyreek Hill was correct. Him dropping the easiest touchdown I’ve ever seen in the first quarter set the tone.

Regardless, it’s a frustrating result after a string of some really strong results. Looking forward to ending the season well next week in #TeamPreseason slate aka Week 18.
