As our good friends at Underdog like to say, “Scroll the eff down.”
Let’s be real, players drafting near the top always have an insane advantage over others, thanks to players like Nikola Jokic or Giannis Antetokounmpo. The only way you’re going to take them down is to get unique. Like last season, we’re going to keep a rolling list of players in here to help with some lower-owned, scroll-down candidates who aren’t being universally drafted. We did this last year, and it was a massive help to everyone, including myself. Shout-out to Payton Pritchard and Kyle Filipowski! This piece will be constantly updating as the NBA best ball season continues, so make sure to check back in.

Kevin Huerter (SG/SF, Chicago) – I promise you there’s no homerism here. I don’t know exactly what happened to Huerter in Sacramento those last couple of years, but he morphed back into ‘Kevon’ once traded to Chicago. He started over his final 15 games and averaged 14.7 points per game (28.5 DraftKings points, 27.7 FanDuel points) in 32.9 minutes per game. Now, injuries most definitely played a part in the minutes bump, but he averaged 30.0 MPG off the bench in the seven games prior. Billy Donovan absolutely loves him. I mean, why wouldn’t he? He fits the Bulls’ style of play perfectly and is an easy start whenever dealing with injuries. It’s also likely that Chicago trades one of Ayo Dosunmu or Coby White before the season ends, since it will be almost impossible to re-sign both next summer. It’s more likely to be Ayo, according to reports, which is why I’m a tad hesitant to select him despite us being ahead on him in ADP. I don’t mind Tre Jones either. Donovan started him in place of and next to Josh Giddey over his final nine games, and he averaged 14.9 points, 7.1 assists, and 4.8 rebounds. The Bulls clearly liked what they saw, re-signing him to a three-year, $24M deal.
