Let’s take a look at major trends and changes from a team-level perspective, for the purposes of DFS matchups, props, and sides and totals. We will take a look at a sample size over the last month and compare it to the season’s worth of data up to that point.
Seattle Storm defense
The Storm have become arguably the most difficult spot in the WNBA from an opposing matchup perspective. After running near a league-average pace for the first 16 games of the season, they have played at the second-slowest pace over the last month. Their defensive efficiency has also taken a huge leap, sporting the league’s best defensive rating over that stretch at a smothering 94.6, one of only two marks even below 100.0. Much of this defensive improvement has been fueled by a total unwillingness to allow opposing 3-pointers.
