Boston Celtics at Golden State Warriors

Team totals: Celtics 104.3, Warriors 107.8

Projected injury report: Robert Williams (Q, knee)

Celtics projected starters: Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Al Horford, Robert Williams

Warriors projected starters: Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, Otto Porter Jr., Draymond Green

Udoka quotes: Said it was the “same thing with Rob” regarding his knee, said they were standing around too much, said Tatum is looking for fouls too often, said the Warriors are rotating well to limit Tatum’s scoring.

Kerr quotes: Said Steph’s foot issue “wasn’t even a factor”, said Steph is the strongest he’s ever been, said he was planning to take Draymond out with the way he lined up the rotation, said they needed every bit of Wiggins in Game 4, said Draymond was not happy about getting pulled but buying him a few minutes was helpful, said he didn’t play Looney enough in Game 3.

Stats and Notes:

Noteworthy lineup stuff:

*What a bold move by Steve Kerr for the lineup change. The former starting lineup with Kevon Looney dominated in a game-high 13 minutes with a +46.9 net rating (+11). They went up against some good lineups in that time with Derrick White and Marcus Smart out there for all 13 while Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown saw 10 of those. Stephen Curry scored 14 points in those 13 minutes (Wiggins seven).

*For the second game in a row, the Derrick White lineup got wrecked as the most-used lineup (Smart, White, Brown, Tatum, Horford). It was a go-to lineup for Udoka, but there’s a chance he goes away from it after its -27.2 net rating in two games.

*The Boston starting lineup again put it on the Warriors in just nine minutes. In the last two, they have a +40.8 net rating after they were torched in the first two San Francisco games.

*As you’d expect with the Boston starters crushing, the Otto starting lineup got worked with a -31.9 net rating in nine minutes. That lineup was pretty good before the last game, though.

*The best lineup from Game 4 was Steph, Poole, Klay, Wiggins, Looney with its +119.6 net rating in four minutes. That lineup was used for seven minutes before Game 4, and you’d think Kerr goes to it again. The PTSD lineup got two minutes, as well.

*Not a lineup note, but man, the defense late was special. The Celtics had just three points in the final five minutes.
