Pittsburgh @ Las Vegas
Team Totals: Raiders 22.5, Steelers 20.5
Pittsburgh’s defense has scored just as many touchdowns as its offense through two games (2). The Steelers are averaging the NFL’s third-fewest yards per play (4.3) and running the league’s sixth-fewest offensive plays per game. Even while their team was winning, Steelers fans were audibly campaigning for OC Matt Canada’s firing in last Monday night’s win over the Browns. … Kenny Pickett managed Weeks 1-2 fantasy finishes of QB21 and QB29. Out of 32 qualified quarterbacks, Pickett ranks 26th in yards per pass attempt (6.0), 27th in completion rate (60.5%), and dead last in both QBR and EPA. He’s unusable outside of single-game DFS tournaments. … Najee Harris is out-snapping Jaylen Warren 55% to 41%, yet Warren has out-targeted Harris 12 to five. The good news is Las Vegas’ run defense got cooked by Broncos and Bills RBs in Weeks 1-2, yielding the NFL’s third-most rushing yards (271), second-most receptions (16), and third-most fantasy points to the position. Harris remains a touchdown-reliant RB2. Warren is a passable flex option and especially attractive on single-game DFS tournament slates.
Pickett’s Week 2 target distribution with Diontae Johnson (hamstring, I.R.) out: George Pickens 10; Warren 6; Calvin Austin 4; Harris and Allen Robinson 3; Pat Freiermuth, Gunner Olszewski, and Miles Boykin 1. … Due to Pittsburgh’s Week 6 bye, Johnson’s I.R. designation will keep him out until at least Week 7. Look for him to be dropped in many season-long leagues. … Pickens ran a team-high 30 routes on 32 Pickett dropbacks in Week 2’s win over Cleveland, banking a 71-yard touchdown on a post route fueled by 57 yards after the catch.
