Super Bowl LX kicks off Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., an outdoor venue with natural grass footing. Forecasts are calling for dry conditions and temperatures in the mid-60s.
Drake Maye heads to Santa Clara nursing a right (throwing) shoulder injury of ostensibly mild concern, but he has struggled on the field lately. After leading the NFL in regular-season yards per pass attempt (8.9), Maye has averaged 6.9 YPA through three postseason affairs. Maye’s to-date playoff opponents have been the Chargers, Texans, and Broncos — who, respectively, allowed 2025’s eighth-, seventh-, and second-fewest yards per attempt — although Seattle yielded a league-low 6.0 YPA. Maye has leaned on his dual-threat capabilities to keep the Patriots’ offense moving lately; after finishing the 2025 season fourth among quarterbacks in rushing yards (450), Maye has run for 141 yards and a touchdown this postseason.
I expect an aggressive rushing game for Maye. His throwing shoulder may not be 100%. The Seahawks are playing lights-out defense against traditional run looks, perhaps forcing more onto Maye’s ground-game plate. LT Will Campbell, who missed Weeks 13-17 with a sprained MCL, has given up four sacks in the playoffs. There are reasons to believe Seattle can get Maye on the run.
Maye has cleared 65 rushing yards twice in three playoff games. From a betting standpoint, I like the over on Maye running for 37.5 yards (-111), and Maye to have a run longer than 14.5 yards (-110) on Sunday.
