Passing Game Overview
After arguably reaching to select Oregon’s Bo Nix 12th overall in April’s draft, HC Sean Payton looks hellbent on installing a quick-game passing attack he couldn’t with boom-or-bust Russell Wilson at the helm. A high-percentage, quick-out aficionado, Nix completed 75% of his passes over his final two seasons, earned PFF’s No. 1 under-pressure passing grade among draft-eligible signal-callers in his final year, and more than held his own in vertical-passing situations. Nix also converted 38 rushing TDs across five seasons. With only journeyman type Jarrett Stidham and draft bust Zach Wilson behind him, Nix looks like an underrated fantasy QB3 pick with conceivably more job security than perceived.
