Bears Passing Game
Nick Foles is the favorite to start over Mitchell Trubisky after the Bears acquired him from Jacksonville for a 2020 fourth-round pick. Having played for HC Matt Nagy (Chiefs), OC Bill Lazor (Eagles), and QBs coach John DeFilippo (Eagles, Jaguars), Foles’ grasp of Chicago’s offense is likely already superior to Trubisky’s. Foles will offer two-QB-league value only should he win the job as a likely low-volume game manager complemented by an elite defense and what the Bears hope will become a sustaining rushing attack. Strictly in fantasy terms, failed 2017 top-three draft pick Trubisky would offer more upside based on his theoretical dual-threat skills. “Theoretical” because Nagy hasn’t let Trubisky run nearly enough.
