Jaguars Passing Game
Gardner Minshew shined in place of broken–collarboned Nick Foles across 12 starts as a rookie, transplanting from Mike Leach’s urgent spread to Doug Marrone’s caretaker offense, where Minshew posted a 21:6 TD-to-INT ratio and the fifth-most rushing yards among NFL quarterbacks, scrambling for nearly 23 yards per game. This year’s Jaguars are installing a new offense under first-year OC Jay Gruden and have so little invested in Minshew that they are sportsbook favorites to draft Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence with 2021’s first overall pick. 2020 represents Minshew’s opportunity to prove his critics wrong. His scrambling skills and soft early-season schedule render Minshew an underrated QB2/3.
