Buffalo checks in among Week 5’s top D/ST plays in Steelers rookie Kenny Pickett’s starting debut after Pickett threw three picks and fumbled once on just 13 dropbacks off the bench in last Sunday’s loss to the Jets. … Arguably fantasy’s biggest non-injury-induced bust, Najee Harris is PPR’s overall RB26 one month in. Buffalo has held enemy backs to 3.07 yards per carry and the NFL’s sixth-fewest receiving yards (83). Harris is a mid-range RB2 play at this point, and Jaylen Warren remains one of fantasy’s best handcuffs. … Despite major personnel losses in their secondary, the Bills’ fundamentally sound zone coverage has limited enemy WRs to the league’s third-fewest fantasy points. It is notable that Pickett connected on 4-of-4 targets to previously frustrated George Pickens in the second half of Week 4, which Pickens parlayed into three first downs and 71 yards. Pickett went 3-of-4 for 36 yards and two first downs targeting Pat Freiermuth. As far as prognosticating the Week 5 box-score production of Pickens, Freiermuth, Diontae Johnson, and Chase Claypool, I’m throwing my hands up with a new passer behind center. I do think Pickett’s installation gives Pickens, in particular, hope of meeting his WR2 potential.
