Each week, we’ll look at how ADP has changed over the past week in best ball drafts and let you know if we agree with the change. We’re looking at ADP over the last seven days compared to ADP 8-14 days ago. This week, much of the movement is carryover from news and preseason play.

THIS WEEK’S UNDERDOG RISERS

LaMelo Ball – People needed to see it. LaMelo has been limited to 58 games over the last two seasons. Those fragile ankles have scarred us all, but he’s always been a super fun click. The only reason we’re lower on him than the market is because we have him for 56 games. To show you how much this stuff matters, he’d jump to 18 on UD and 17 on DK if we added 10 games, so this is basically a risk tolerance thing. How much do you trust him to stay healthy? He’s wearing ankle braces to help, but he also wore them last year before ditching them midseason. Through two preseason games, he’s averaging 21.0 points and 5.5 assists in 21.2 minutes.

Karl-Anthony Towns – This is the first of the carryovers I was talking about. I already mentioned last week how his rates go way up when he’s starting at the 5. Not only is the market still adjusting to the trade, but we’ve finally gotten to see what this thing looks like, and oh baby. Thibs gave the starters decent run in their last two preseason games. Against the Wizards, KAT went for 25 points and 12 boards in 28 minutes. Against the Wolves, he went for 16 and 16 in 29 minutes. The two-man game with Jalen Brunson is going to crush.
