L.A. Rams @ Tennessee
Team Totals: Rams 23.5, Titans 18
Matthew Stafford answered preseason health questions with a successful Week 1, averaging a robust 8.4 yards per pass attempt and absorbing three sacks in L.A.’s 14-9 win over Houston. But the Rams lost both starting guards — LG Steve Avila and RG Kevin Dotson — to ankle sprains, and on Monday HC Sean McVay called them “week to week.” DTs Jeffery Simmons and T’Vondre Sweat represent Tennessee’s defensive strength. I’m fading Stafford as a fantasy start. … The Rams spent a third-round pick on Blake Corum in 2023 and a 2024 fourth-rounder on Jarquez Hunter. Yet Kyren Williams handled 19 of 21 running back touches in Week 1, appearing on 82% of the Rams’ offensive snaps. Williams, who landed a $33 million extension early last month, remains entrenched as Los Angeles’ bellcow. Denver RBs worked Tennessee’s defense for 22/133/1 (6.0 YPC) rushing last week.
