Atlanta Hawks at Charlotte Hornets

Team Totals: Hawks 113.8, Hornets 119.8

Injury Report: Dyson Daniels (Q, knee), Jalen Johnson (Q, knee), Coby White (O, calf)

Hawks projected starters: Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Dyson Daniels, Zaccharie Risacher, Jalen Johnson, Onyeka Okongwu

Hornets projected starters: LaMelo Ball, Kon Knueppel, Brandon Miller, Grant Williams, Ryan Kalkbrenner

Snyder quotes: Said the Wolves had too much space available out there, said they were trying to go zone to give the Wolves a different look, said “we need to be better defensively,” said not having Jalen Johnson to push the ball hurt them, said Gabe Vincent and McCollum did a fine job of getting them into their offense.

Lee quotes: Said it “was a freaking great game for us” to get a lot better against the Pistons (they lost), said the incident “spiraled” with guys getting too physical, said the guys did not take care of the ball against the Pistons, said they were making it tougher on Cade and they were able to keep Duncan Robinson off the 3-point line, said Moussa “is in a good place” after the ejection.

Stats and Notes:

*The Hornets finally had their winning streak snapped, and they’ll be feeling the effects from Monday’s fight. Losing Moussa Diabate should significantly impact how the Hornets hit the boards, but they rebounded the ball well earlier this year when Moussa wasn’t logging heavy minutes. The Hawks have also been an excellent team at limiting O boards, and Atlanta has slowed down a bit on pace in their last eight games, resulting in less transition scoring. The Hornets are playing much slower, and their defense should still be solid despite no Miles Bridges and Moussa. The Hawks’ defense was on a roll, but they have struggled in the last two games. One of those games was a 126-119 loss to the Hornets on Feb. 7.

Great matchups: Jalen Johnson

Good matchups: Brandon Miller, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Onyeka Okongwu

Bad matchups: LaMelo Ball (if Dyson is in)

Washington Wizards at Cleveland Cavaliers
