CFB DFS Top Plays: Week 11 – Saturday Main

Understanding optimal lineups for cash games is extremely important, even if you only play tournaments. Players in our cash pool are the ones we believe are the most underpriced, have the best floor/ceiling combo, and typically feature a relatively tight range of outcomes. These are the best plays on the board when considering price, context, and positional scarcity. These are usually pretty good options for GPPs as well.

The optimal GPP lineup will typically mix some of these cash-type plays with higher-variance options, often in correlated lineups. In cash games (where roughly 50% of the field gets paid out), we don’t worry about ownership, game stacks, or correlation. With all that said, these are our Top Plays considering the following factors: mean projection, matchup, upside, and value. Ownership is NOT considered here. Generally speaking, these players are what we consider to be “head-to-head and 50/50 considerations”.

They are listed in price descending order (NOT ranked by “best play”). At the bottom, you’ll find suggested rankings by site once salary is accounted for.

QUARTERBACK

Noah Fifita (ARI – DK $6,000) – Fifita gets a prime matchup versus a Colorado team that is 131st nationally in passing yards allowed per game and plays up-tempo on offense, which provides their opponents paths for additional plays. GPP Recommendation: 1 to 2 pass catchers in stack.

John Rhys Plumlee (UCF – DK $7,500) – The UCF-Oklahoma State game is a great environment for both sides in terms of fantasy production. Both teams rank top 30 in terms of plays per minute and Oklahoma State is allowing a boatload of yards through the air and on the ground. Plumlee looks like he is getting healthier and his rushing floor is beginning to show up again. GPP Recommendation: 0 to 1 pass catchers in stack.

Michael Pratt (TUL – DK $8,200) – It’s a massive team total for Tulane here versus Tulsa and Pratt can use his legs, especially around the goal line. We recommend avoiding playing Pratt with Makhi Hughes, as they are directly competing for rushing touchdowns that will be the driver of where their respective ceilings can be generated. GPP Recommendation: 0 to 1 pass catchers in stack.

Cameron Ward (WSU – DK $8,500) – Ward has been up and down all season, but Cal’s pass defense has been all down (127th in passing yards allowed per game). Ward is very stackable on this slate given the price tags on his primary receivers. GPP Recommendation: 1 to 2 pass catchers in stack.
