Our mission is to provide the highest-quality information for fantasy sports players. This means that we will only create content and projections for sports where we believe we have a real edge.
Building on a successful launch of the ETR CFB Product in 2023, and increased content offerings in 2024, we are again expanding our offerings. In 2025, the CFB product is being separated into two products: 1) Best Ball & DFS, and 2) Full-Stat Projections & Player Props. This FAQ will cover the Best Ball & DFS CFB product.

WHO IS BEHIND THIS PRODUCT?
Fantasy-point and ownership projections are powered by Sean Newsham (@psufans2) and Alex Hardin (@fearmyturtleDFS). The ETR Analytics team are providing support for ownership projections.
Content is provided by the ETR CFB team, which, in addition to Sean and Alex, includes Andy Smith (@SouthwesternAg), Micah Bedard (@DardDog), and Ben Pritchett (@naturalslugger).
WHO ARE SEAN NEWSHAM AND ALEX HARDIN?
Sean and Alex have both been playing DFS at a high level since the early days of DraftKings and FanDuel, with a strong focus on college football and other niche sports. They have both worked full-time in the industry for the past five years, providing projections for multiple sports including college football.
Over the past decade, they have developed a college football projection system that effectively forecasts team-level interactions for over 250 college football teams (FBS and FCS) through a proprietary blend of historical data and subjective metrics. Their ability to effectively contextualize news and layer additional factors to produce accurate player-level market shares results in CFB projection sets that are unmatched across the industry.
Alex won the 2023 DraftKings College Football World Championship.

DOES THIS PRODUCT COME WITH ANY BETTING (SIDES & TOTALS) ADVICE?
Not really. However, there are serious fantasy sports players and bettors alike that subscribe and participate in our private Discord. Alex, Sean, and other members of the ETR team actively participate here. Subscribers have told us this is a value add for them, but it should not be in your expectations that you will receive profitable betting (sides and totals) advice with this product.
DOES THIS PRODUCT COME WITH ANY PLAYER PROP ADVICE?
No. All player prop advice and releases will be part of the CFB Full-Stat Projections & Player Props portion of the CFB product, which is a separate subscription.
DO YOU GUARANTEE I WILL WIN AT CFB DFS?
As with all of our products, no. We do guarantee it will be difficult to win, as it is in all of these markets. This product is for people who want great information and are willing to work hard to put it to use.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Our Best Ball & DFS college football product is $39.99 per week, $99.99 per month, or $349.99 per season. If you buy the weekly or monthly option prior to Aug. 18, your subscription will not be renewed until one week or one month into the college football season (there is no recurring charge during the summer months for best ball access).
As you may have noticed, we have lowered the season-long subscription price for the 2025 season since we are moving player props to a separate offering.
WHY IS THE PRODUCT SO EXPENSIVE?
We would rather keep a relatively small community and cater to the customers willing to pay a premium price for quality than the other way around. There is a lack of formal injury reports in college football relative to the NFL, therefore a significant amount of breaking news and information will be shared with subscribers in Discord. A large portion of this information will not be reported by mainstream news outlets in a timely manner or be noted on the DFS sites (such as on player cards).
HOW OFTEN ARE THERE CFB SLATES?
Most weeks, college football is played at least on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Starting in October, games are also played on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. This product will cover all midweek slates, so on most weeks during the season, projections will be provided on at least three days of the week. In addition, most Saturdays include several different slates over the course of the day including totally separate (no overlap with main slates) night slates. Due to the number of college football teams (134 in FBS and 126 in FCS), there are many more games covered in a typical week as compared to NFL. A typical college football week may look like this:
- Tuesday – three-game slate (starting Week 8)
- Wednesday – two-game slate (starting Week 8)
- Thursday – two-game slate
- Friday – three-game slate
- Saturday – 12-game main slate at 12:00 p.m. ET, eight-game afternoon slate at 3:30 p.m. ET (may be some overlap with main slate), 10-game night slate at 7:00 p.m. ET, four-game late slate at 10:30 p.m. ET (may be some overlap with night slate)
HOW MANY SLATES DOES THIS PRODUCT COVER?
All slates on DraftKings and FanDuel. The first slate of the season is on Saturday, Aug. 23 and the final slate of the season is the National Championship on January 19, 2026.
HOW DO I GET ACCESS TO BEST BALL RANKINGS IF I DO NOT HAVE AN ACTIVE SUBSCRIPTION?
All active subscribers should have access to the CFB best ball rankings and content during the summer months. If you do not have an active subscription but would like to access the CFB best ball rankings and content, visit our subscribe page and purchase either the weekly, monthly, or season-long package. If you purchase the weekly or monthly option prior to Aug. 18, you will not be renewed until either one week (Aug. 25) or one month (Sept. 15) into the actual college football season.
In summary, a weekly or monthly purchase prior to Aug. 18 gets you the best ball ranks for the entire summer AND one week/month of product access once the season starts.
