Tampa Bay @ New Orleans
Team Totals: Saints 26.25, Bucs 22.75

This year’s Winners of the Offseason, the Bucs begin their hyped-up year on the road facing arguably the NFL’s most talented team. The Saints return 10-of-11 starters from a defense that ranked No. 3 in sacks (51) and No. 5 in QB hits (110) but did yield the NFL’s 11th-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Outside of Week 2 versus Carolina, Tom Brady’s early-season matchups should create some pause; Tampa Bay visits Vic Fangio’s Broncos in Week 3, hosts a stacked Chargers defense in Week 4, and treks to Soldier Field the following Thursday night. Bucs-Saints does offer shootout potential – this game’s 49-point total is third-highest on Week 1’s slate – but I’m treating Brady as a fringe QB1 play debuting in a brand-new offense against a formidable foe at age 43.
