Dallas finished sixth and maintains continuity under returning OC Kellen Moore, who gets to game plan against a severely depleted Los Angeles defense, which lost difference-making DC Wade Phillips, EDGE Dante Fowler, ILB Cory Littleton, SS Eric Weddle, OLB Clay Matthews, and slot CB Nickell Robey-Coleman this offseason. In-house Weddle replacement Taylor Rapp missed several weeks of camp with a knee injury, while Littleton heir apparent Travin Howard (knee) was lost for the year. $17 million DT A’Shawn Robinson is out indefinitely with an undisclosed medical condition. This game’s matchup and tempo projection set up Dak Prescott to start fast in Sunday night’s likely shootout.
